The Cowboys’ secondary remains cursed with injuries

The Cowboys’ secondary, which can never catch a break, just took another hit. All-Pro cornerback DaRon Bland will miss at least the next two weeks after suffering a right foot injury in Monday’s practice, sources told DLLS.

It’s a tough setback for Bland, who already lost 10 games last season to a stress fracture in his other foot.

Now the big question to ask is which corner not names Trevon Diggs will the Cowboys have to rely on the most in the absence of their star defender.

Breaking down the Cowboys’ Week 1 test against Dexter Lawrence

Giants defensive tackle Dexter Lawrence is the problem Dallas has to solve in Week 1.

The three-time Pro Bowler has made a habit of wrecking blocking schemes with his power and quickness, and the Cowboys know their offensive line will need to be sharp to keep Dak Prescott upright.

That’s where this week’s Jesse’s Know Ball Better University comes in, breaking down exactly how Dallas can try to neutralize Lawrence in the trenches.

Former No. 1 overall pick visited Dallas on Wednesday

At the same time, the Cowboys are exploring reinforcements of their own. Veteran pass rusher Jadeveon Clowney visited Dallas, sparking plenty of conversation about what his potential addition could mean for the defensive front.

While no longer in his prime, Clowney has the pedigree and run-stopping ability to bring stability to a unit that’s still working out its rotation.

Our own Clarence Hill wrote why potentially adding a player like Clowney is a good move for Dallas.

The Texas Rangers are officially on fire. 🔥 After sweeping the Brewers and taking down the Astros, they’ve turned Globe Life Field into a fortress with a 10-2 run over their last two home stands.

The surge has vaulted them to seven games over .500, and suddenly the playoff buzz in Arlington feels real. Could this be the moment the Rangers cement themselves as a postseason threat?

Jason Kidd says he wants to “challenge” rookie Cooper Flagg to handle the ball, maybe even as the point guard.

Former Mavericks exec Brian Dameris joins the DLLS Mavs show to explain why Kidd’s plan reminds him of coaching a young rising player years ago.

Plus, we break down Kidd’s second Hall of Fame induction as part of the Redeem Team and take on your listener questions.

On yesterday’s summer series The Other 31 we spotlight the Tampa Bay Lightning with special guest Dave Mishkin, the voice of the Lightning on radio.

Tampa piled up 102 points last season, third-best in the East, but were bounced in five games by the eventual back-to-back champion Florida Panthers.

We’ll break down what’s next for the Bolts, plus dive into the Dallas Stars’ freshly announced 2025–26 training camp roster and schedule.

Who are the surprise invites, and what early camp storylines should fans keep an eye on?
