👋 Good morning! - In 1916, Georgia Tech beat Cumberland College 222-0, the most lopsided game in football history. 🏈 Cumberland didn’t even have a real team that year; they threw together frat brothers and law students just to avoid a fine and finished with –28 total yards. - Ali Jawad

Mavericks rally around Brandon Williams after Anthony Davis scare

The Dallas Mavericks survived a scare, both on the scoreboard and the injury report, in a 107-105 win over the shorthanded Indiana Pacers.

Brandon Williams, D’Angelo Russell, and Dwight Powell powered the Mavs off the bench, combining for 46 points and much-needed energy after Anthony Davis exited early with lower leg soreness.

Cooper Flagg posted a double-double, but the night’s real story was Williams just days after dealing with an arrest at DFW Airport.

Williams played with fire and focus, scoring 20 points and grabbing seven rebounds while igniting a 14-2 second-quarter run that flipped the momentum.

Jason Kidd praised the young guard’s resilience, saying.

“Being a pro, he came out and played at a very high level for us. We’ve missed him.”

D’Angelo Russell found rhythm, finishing with 14 points and five assists, while his floor management steadied the Mavericks’ half-court offense.

Powell stepped up in the absence of Davis and earned “MVP” chants from the AAC crowd, finishing with six rebounds and sinking 10-of-12 free throws. His energy and defensive activity gave Dallas the lift it needed down the stretch.

With the win, the Mavericks finished their five-game home stand at 2-3 and now turn their focus to the NBA Mexico City Game against the Detroit Pistons, where health, depth, and momentum will all be put to the test.

An extension feels like a long shot, but in Jerry’s world, you can never rule out a surprise move.

The Dallas Stars locked up their future on the ice, then all hell broke loose off it. 😳

Hours after inking Thomas Harley’s $84 million deal, the Stars and Mavericks went full courtroom brawl over who really owns Dallas.

Don’t be shocked if this fight ends with the Stars skating right out of the city.
