👋 Good morning! - Here is a fun fact. Nolan Ryan pitched seven no-hitters in his career, but maybe even crazier is this: he never won a Cy Young Award. He struck out over 5,714 batters, still the MLB record, and yet somehow the trophy case is missing that one piece. - Ali Jawad

Paige Bueckers crowned 2025 Kia WNBA Rookie of the Year 👑

Been waiting for the perfect moment to put the Dallas Wings front and center, and this is it.

Rookie guard Paige Bueckers, who’s played like a seasoned vet since day one, has officially been crowned the 2025 WNBA Kia Rookie of the Year.

The announcement was made on Tuesday. Bueckers who was drafted No. 1 overall by the Wings during the 2025 WNBA Draft and fresh off a national championship win at UConn concluded her initial season leading all rookies in points, assists, player efficiency and win shares.

Bueckers was one of three rookies selected to the 2025 WNBA All-Star game. She set the WNBA rookie single-game scoring record with 44 points while shooting over 80% from the field, and became the fastest rookie to reach 500 points and 100 assists.

Be sure to tune in this Thursday to our weekly DLLS Wings pod where we will have more on Bueckers’ historic rookie season.

It was TOTE THAT THANG! and KBBU on the DLLS Cowboys pod, and we’re breaking down George Pickens’ big second game with the Dallas Cowboys.

But the bigger story? How his arrival could supercharge Dak Prescott’s fast start. Could this new duo be the spark that makes the Cowboys’ offense unstoppable?

Wyatt Johnston went from borderline junior returnee to one of the Dallas Stars’ most important players in just three seasons, cashing in with a five-year, $42M extension.

He’s already delivered clutch playoff goals, including series-clinchers and an overtime winner, proving he’s built for big moments. Johnston even led the entire team in scoring during the 2024 postseason, outpacing names like Robertson, Pavelski, and Seguin.

Now, entering Year 4, opponents have him circled, and the challenge is clear, can the 22-year-old keep leveling up when the spotlight burns brightest?

The Dallas Mavericks had a busy offseason, one of the teams notable moves, was adding former All-Star D’Angelo Russell to the mix, but can he really steady the backcourt while Kyrie Irving heals up?

The DLLS Mavs crew isn’t entirely buying all the hype surrounding Dallas and asked one tough question.

Plus, Luka Doncic lands yet another magazine cover and Trivia Tuesday returns with some curveballs.

Rangers hoping late fight in another loss to Astros carries over into series finale, final 10 games.

In a must win, the Texas Rangers nearly pulled off a comeback, but a six-run hole dug early doomed them in another crushing loss to the Astros on Tuesday night.

Houston has Dallas on the brink of a sweep, and the Rangers are slipping fast in the wild-card race. With Jacob deGrom on the mound in the finale, is this the last gasp for Texas’ playoff hopes?

Incase you haven’t heard by now here is a friendly reminder.
