👋 Good morning! - From start to finish, it was chaos at AT&T Stadium. The Cowboys survived in overtime, edging the Giants 40–37 in a home opener that had everything. More importantly, Dallas avoided the dreaded 0-2 start both overall and in the NFC East. - Ali Jawad

Brian Schottenheimer’s first Cowboys win was straight out of a movie 🎬

Hey, as they say, a win is a win, no matter the outcome of the game, am I right?

Head coach Brian Schottenheimer’s first win was anything but ordinary. In front of nearly 93,000 fans at AT&T Stadium, Dallas and New York traded haymakers in a game that seemed destined to slip away.

Instead, the afternoon ended with an emotional scene Schottenheimer says he’ll never forget, especially with what he was dealing with off the field.

Dak Prescott and the Cowboys refused to blink, even as one familiar foe carved up the defense and delivered what looked like a knockout blow in the final seconds. What followed was pure chaos, and it set the stage for a finish no one in Arlington will soon forget.

When it was over, Schottenheimer wasn’t just celebrating a win. He was handed something in the locker room that left him nearly speechless, and reminded everyone in Dallas why this moment meant so much more than the score.

  • “I was really good coming off the field. And then when Dak presented me, he and Jerry presented me with the game ball, that was pretty special for me. Cool way to win your first game,” Schottenheimer said. “You’ll remember it forever, but the words that Dak and the players said to me after the game is why it’s so special.”

Jerry Jones announced the signing of a veteran defender following Week 2 win

The Cowboys wasted no time making noise after their overtime win against the Giants. Jerry Jones confirmed Sunday afternoon that Dallas signed veteran defensive end Jadeveon Clowney, the former No. 1 overall pick who brings more than a decade of NFL experience.

Jones shared exactly what a player like Clowney brings to the table for Dallas' defense, which, after what we saw Sunday, can use all the help they can get.

Clowney, 32, visited the team last week and reunites with head coach Brian Schottenheimer, who overlapped with him in Seattle.

Known more for setting the edge than racking up sacks, the three-time Pro Bowler now slides into a defensive front that has seen plenty of change this year.

The Rangers rallied again in New York, taking the series from the Mets 2-1 and making it 7 wins in their last 9. With just 12 games left in a brutal September slate, Texas is still surging toward October, but can they keep the momentum alive when it matters most?

Congrats to Paige Bueckers on being named AP Rookie of the Year.
