👋 Good morning! - Week 7 was a fun one to watch as the Cowboys’ offense was back to full strength and after what they did to Washington the sky feels like the limit for this top ranked unit. - Ali Jawad

Dak dominates, defense delivers: Cowboys torch Commanders 44-22
The Cowboys didn’t just bounce back, they made a statement.
After weeks of defensive meltdowns, Dallas finally put together a complete performance, dismantling the Washington Commanders 44-22 and reclaiming second place in the NFC East.
Dak Prescott once again looked every bit the MVP candidate, throwing for 264 yards and three touchdowns with zero turnovers, while CeeDee Lamb’s return sparked the offense like lighter fluid on a fire, 110 yards and a score in his first game back.
Head coach Brian Schottenheimer’s group looked balanced and fearless.
Javonte Williams rumbled for 116 yards and a touchdown, Jake Ferguson bullied defenders in the red zone for two more scores, and George Pickens continued to stretch the field with big-play grabs.
After averaging just 29 yards last week, Dallas’ run game rediscovered its punch, a welcome sight heading into a brutal mid-season stretch.
But the biggest surprise? Matt Eberflus’ defense showed life. The Cowboys blitzed more, played man on over half their snaps, and rookie linebacker Shemar James’ energy was contagious.
DaRon Bland’s 68-yard pick-six blew the game open, the front notched four sacks, and Washington, minus its top receivers, never stood a chance. It wasn’t perfect, but it was progress.
And for a Cowboys team still hunting for identity, Sunday felt like a step back toward the version of Dallas that once scared everyone.

The Dallas Stars saw their perfect start halted in St. Louis, falling 3-1 to the Blues on Saturday night. Jordan Kyrou and rookie Jimmy Snuggerud powered the Blues with second-period goals, while Jordan Binnington turned aside nearly everything in sight until Mikko Rantanen spoiled his shutout late.
Wyatt Johnston picked up an assist on the lone Dallas tally, ending his four-game goal streak as the Stars dropped their second game of the season.
