👋 Good morning! - Here is your fun fact. Babe Ruth was larger than life on the field, but he had some strange habits too. On hot days, he’d keep a cabbage leaf under his cap to stay cool, swapping it out every couple of innings. Maybe that was the secret to all those home runs. - Ali Jawad

No more waiting, it’s now or never for Dallas’ young players

The Dallas Stars are officially back at work.
On the eve of training camp, GM Jim Nill and new head coach Glen Gulutzan made it clear: this season could hinge on young players like Mavrik Bourque and Nils Lundkvist step into bigger roles.
With holes in the roster and a tight cap limiting outside help, Dallas is betting big that its homegrown talent is ready to grow up fast.
We are so back.

Nill didn’t mince words, saying internal growth will “define a big part of our season,” while Gulutzan doubled down by openly challenging Bourque and Lundkvist to seize their moment.
Bourque’s AHL MVP pedigree and newfound confidence make him a wild card in the top six, while Lundkvist’s blend of skill and fitness has him primed to claim a permanent spot on the blue line.
Both players have heard the message directly from the front office: the opportunity is theirs for the taking.
It’s a gamble that could swing the Stars’ season. If Bourque and Lundkvist take the leap, Dallas suddenly looks deeper, more dynamic, and built for another playoff push. But if they stumble? The roster gaps are glaring, and the Stars may find themselves chasing answers they can’t afford.
Training camp in Frisco starts today, and the future of the franchise might just be skating its first laps.
