D’Angelo Russell came off the bench and put on a show in Mexico City, scoring a season-high 31 points while hitting seven threes to lead the Dallas Mavericks offensively.

The veteran guard added seven rebounds and three assists, becoming the first Mav to cross the 30-point mark this season and continuing to prove his value in a sixth-man role.

Cunningham dissected the defense with 21 points and 18 assists, while Duren dominated the paint with 33 points and 10 rebounds, powering a Pistons team that threw down 11 dunks and made 36 shots inside the arc.

A 17-4 closing run sealed Dallas’s fate, capped by a dagger three from Cunningham that put the game out of reach.

The Mavericks, now 2-4, will look to regroup as they return stateside for a divisional matchup against the Houston Rockets on Monday night.
