👋 Good morning! - Last night I watched Sixers vs. Wizards, and all I’m gonna say is Quentin Grimes (yeah, the former Mav) can hoop. But hey, what do I know? - Ali Jawad

Stars blank Capitals as Thomas Harley secures massive extension

The Dallas Stars keep finding ways to win, and this one was all about grit, goaltending, and good business.

Dallas beat the Washington Capitals 1-0 at the AAC behind Jake Oettinger’s 25-save shutout and a little help from the post, but the real headline came off the ice: defenseman Thomas Harley cashed in with an eight-year, $84.7 million extension to remain a cornerstone of the franchise.

Harley’s deal locks him in alongside a core of Rantanen, Hintz, Johnston, Oettinger, Lindell, Heiskanen, and Duchene through the end of the decade, proof that GM Jim Nill is doubling down on Dallas’ championship window.

Harley joked his celebration plans included “a Digiorno pizza and sleep,” but his quiet confidence mirrors this team’s no-drama, all-business approach. The Stars are built to win now and later, and Harley’s long-term deal is another step toward keeping that window wide open.

On the ice, Dallas did what Gulutzan’s group was designed to do: defend, frustrate, and finish.

Tyler Seguin’s power-play goal (or, rather, Washington’s own goal) was enough thanks to a clinical defensive effort that suffocated the Capitals in the third period.

It wasn’t flashy, but it was winning hockey, the kind of performance that says this Stars team doesn’t just shine, they know how to lock it down.

The “attaboys” are gone, and accountability is finally in.

Brian Schottenheimer says he’s done with vibes and excuses after the Cowboys’ humiliating 44-24 loss to Denver, and promised lineup changes, starting with more Jadeveon Clowney.

With Dallas ranking near the bottom in nearly every defensive category, the message is clear: jobs are on the line and so is the season.

Tension is rising in Dallas.

Max Christie says the Mavericks are “playing under a lot of stress,” and the DLLS Mavs crew dove into why, from locker room vibes to lineup pressure around Anthony Davis, Cooper Flagg, and D’Angelo Russell.

We’re breaking down what’s real, what’s overblown, and what has to change before things spiral further.

The World Series never disappoints, and this one was pure chaos.

While the Rangers sat at home, the Dodgers and Blue Jays delivered one of the wildest, most unforgettable games in Fall Classic history.

Extra innings, clutch homers, and heartbreak all mixed into a classic that reminded everyone why October baseball hits different.

So Jesse had at least one fan in his career, good for him. 👏
