👋 Hello, friends.

We’ll talk about the high-scoring Rangers — yep, still weird to write — in a moment, but a quick shoutout to all the fathers out there. Also a quick moment to celebrate and remember all the fathers that are no longer with us.

Cowboys head coach Brian Schottenheimer was emotional when asked about what he would hell his father, Marty, if he was still around today.

Sweet 16(s)

I thought John Rhadigan, the consummate pro he is, had a great distinction yesterday on the DLLS Rangers postgame recap. He pointed out that someone in the comments had put, “LETS GO RANGERS,” in all caps.

For so long, Rhadigan pointed out, fans have a different inflection on that same sentence. It was more of an annoyed, “Let’s go, Rangers.”

After the series in Minnesota, you can take the comma out and add the caps — and the excitement.

The Rangers scored 16 runs and beat the Minnesota Twins for the second time in three days on Thursday. They’re now the 26th best offense in baseball, in terms of runs per game.

The Rangers now find themselves with a little momentum heading into a six-game homestand. There’s also an opportunity, potentially, to get back on the fun side of .500. The Rangers welcome the White Sox (23-46) and the Royals (34-35) into town next.

If the Rangers (33-36) keep mashing the ball like they did in Minnesota, maybe they will close their homestand with a winning record.

Micah Parsons talked with our Clarence Hill exclusively on Thursday and told him something we all expected: his price goes up the longer we wait. “It’s going to cost them more,” Parsons said.
