👋 Hello, friends.

I have this theory about ping pong. I believe that most people think they’re really, really good. If it comes up in conversation, most people will eagerly tell you about their skill.

So that’s why the ping pong table inside the Cowboys locker room is actually a conduit for competition. Because it’s been getting intense.

Micah Parsons, for example, was a limited participant on the field yesterday, but an intense competitor on the ping pong table against multiple opponents, including CeeDee Lamb.

I wonder if they’ll bring the ping pong table to Oxnard? And I wonder if a certain former All-Pro CB for the Cowboys will be ready to practice in Oxnard? — Joseph Hoyt

On The Path Back?

I think we’re all pretty in tune with the timetables for ACL recovery at this point. There are some unique factors, surely, but we know that within a year that most players should be ready to go.

Chondral tissue grafts? Like the surgery Trevon Diggs had this offseason? Those are a little more uncertain to the lay person.

So, I turn to our Clarence Hill, who talked with Diggs about the surgery yesterday and his goal for a return date. Spoiler: it’s early than many think (including the Cowboys?).

  • It is a surgery that can take anywhere from 6-12 months to fully recover.

He has since done his rehab in Miami with his personal trainer, away from the Cowboys but returned this week for mandatory minicamp…

Diggs, who will most likely start training camp on the physically unable to perform list, told DLLS Cowboys on Wednesday that his goal is to be on the field for the Sept. 4 season opener at the Philadelphia Eagles.

“I’m doing everything I can to be back for the season opener,” Diggs said to DLLS Cowboys.

As Clarence pointed out, the Cowboys will likely take their time with Diggs. They also are awaiting the return of rookie corner Shavon Revel Jr., who suffered a torn ACL early last season at East Carolina.

What does it mean for the Cowboys if he can return?
